  Graduate or don't graduate?

  I am a lawschool graduate. I spent 4 yrs as an undergrad and got a double major in east asian studies and political science. That took alot of discipline and hard work. Senior yr added lsat prep. Also worked 2 part-time jobs with a full course load. went to lawschool 3 months after i graduated. I was the youngest person in my class. Follow thru is very important and helps you survive your first year of lawschool. It was very challenging and sleep felt like a luxury. there were quite a few people that didn’t finish the first year of lawschool. i did notice that many of the people in my class had taken a yr or two off before starting lawschool. some even had left other careers. Very diverse group of people. The lsat is not a measure of your intelligence. It measures whether you know the ins and outs of that particular exam format. so i agree with others- practice, practice! feel free to send any questions you might have. will your english teaching certificate also qualify as a Bachelors? if so i would finish that.   Thank-you- no we did not meet on fluther. After we met he told me about the site and thought I would be interested. So noraasnave did introduce me to the site. some of the questions and some answers to our questions have made for some very deep and interesting conversations.

  Being that today is a day of remembrance for Pearl Harbor, I have a question concerning just that. Do you think that the U.S. government (or specifically President Roosevelt) had any prior knowledge whatsoever that Japan was going to attack Pearl Harbor before it actually occurred on December 7th,1941?

  I attended the university of arizona as an undergrad and majored in poli sci and east asian studies. I had to write a 20 page research paper on whether or not the us knew pearl harbor was going to be attacked and did nothing to draw the us into the war. UofAZ has tons of material on pearl harbor due to the uss arizona. I read all of the original telegraph messages and did extensive reading. We knew something was going to happen due to increased message tracking to Japan but like 9/11 it wasn’t thought anyone would have the audacity to attack US soil. this was not a conspiracy just some very bad communication in various federal departments because messages were going everywhere and not painting a clear picture. also messages were passed on slowly. poor communication not conspiracy.

  What would you name your child?

  My husband and I were somewhat at odds at first. Then we found out we were having a daughter and we were just talking one day and one of us mentioned Makayla and we just knew it fit- plus she kicked every time we called her Makayla. Then I learned that one of my husband’s favorite storybook characters as a child was named Abigail- she was somewhat curious and precocious. So we ended up with Makayla Abigail who is very precocious and curious- intelligent, funng and cute also!
