  Suggestions for dealing with 24 hours flight time?

  fly business class or privately. get in a day early if you have business. try to get your body adjusted to local time before you leave. sleep late or wake early. do have a glass of wine to help you sleep. regular 20 minute naps will help bring an ipod with movies. it really helps. books alwaya remind me of how uncomfortable i am in coach. wear loose clothing. cargo pants make it easy to get to earbuds (which i find are great as regular earplugs as well) check with the airline for seat power and bring a laptop. then you can play games and watch movies. and just plan on being uncomfortable and unhappy. that way if it’s better than you think, you might actually enjoy it!

  Do I need to print my travel itinerary?

  i haven’t had a travel itinerary in years. it’s all electronic now. though you might feel better having it in case you can’t get to a computer check engadget.com and you can read about one of their editors trying to use his cellphone as a boarding pass (which airlines are supposed to allow). there are reasons why you might want to, but i’ve been lucky enough to not need to lately. (although virgin atlantic in heathrow used to require a paper itinerary to get INTO the lines at checkin. that’s no longer the case, thank god)

  How much should it cost to fly to Paris?

  it all varies hugley based upon the days of travel, number of stops and when you travel (time of year) $800 to geneva last week for me, but next week on different days (i went sat-sat) it is twice that price. spend some time changing your dates and route. and if you book early, you can fly with budget airlines( a cheap flight to london then a cheap flight booked in advance on easyjet) and depending on your plans, you might find it cheaper to rent a car (or take a bus or train) after arriving in another french city and exploring parts of france, not just paris. but you really don’t want to drive in paris. unless you’re an experienced urban driver, it can be a bit, ahem, hectic! good luck.

  In TV broadcasting, what is the difference between an affiliate and an O&O (Owned & Operated) station?

  as is literally defined, and affiliate is not directly connected to the network. it has an affiliation with them (a partnership) an o&o is just that- owned by and run by the network. so, cnn might cut to cnn india, o&o. they might also cut to a local station in florida with whom they have an affiliation
