I’ve tried to get in shape so many times over the years, but for the wrong reasons. I had to do the mental/spiritual work to get to a place where I really love myself before I really cared about my fitness. Fortunately, my years of being sedentary had not had a major impact on my health yet. I still have a lot of excess weight, and I know that it will get harder; but I also know that I will continue to be active because I enjoy being stronger and having more energy.
