  Can we do "Tell me something great that happened to you today?" again?

  My family is moving tomorrow from a 4bd 3bath huge house to an apartment that is a 2bd and 1bath. You can imagine the stuff (the loads and loads of stuff) that had to be culled for the move. It’s an emotional and draining process in and of itself, but with the hell week at work involving going to and from the court house several times a week, I thought I’d never finish in time. But then miracles happened. =) 1. the plaintiff who filed a claim against us didn’t show, leading to the dismissal of the case. WHOO HOO!!! lawsuits like this make me not want to live in the USA. Miracles like this make me feel like perhaps God’s telling me to hang in there =P and 2. I finally finished packing up all the boxes by 11 pm, and felt good enough to stay up and watch an episode of fringe. (@augustlan yay fringe!!) Thank Heavens for two what felt like insurmountable tasks this morning being resolved before the day went out!! =)

  What can I do to improve my class readiness portion of my classes for college near the end of the semester?

  Speak to your professor, (as has been suggested) and work out a deal. That’s your only surefire option in terms of bringing that up. Professors will usually just go by the book unless you give them reason not to, and so making them aware you’re making an effort should help the situation. Ask them what you need to do in order to raise that portion of your grade, and stick to it, plus a little extra of what was told to you. In my experience, if the professor has said _____ will help improve your grade and you do it faithfully, it works.

  What's a practical gift (or two) that you would like for Christmas?

  I always ask for (and for some reason never get) one of those super lightweight and hard case carry on size luggage. Some otherwise- portable hard drive, portable Ipod charger, giftcards. a good alarm clock.

  Have you ever made yogurt?

  I used to have kefir grains, which did the yogurt making part for me. I really enjoyed making and consuming the yogurt- sadly, when I went away to college, my parents who are not crazy about yogurt decided the kefir grains needed too much care (and too much milk) and they were discarded. But, all in all, good yogurt, really easy to care for.
