They DO like flowery and fruity scents, so don't use soap or lotion that they will like.

Use natural bug repellent with one of the smells that they don't like, or use essential oils. I learned all this the hard way!

Also, if you are vitamin B deficient, bugs might like to eat you more. So maybe take a B vitamin. And getting a little suntan help. Skin that has no sun is like fresher meat for them.

  Are you surprised by the study that suggests (some) autism may be caused by watching television?

  Makes very little sense. Watching Television is one of the main activitys that autistic children are able to focus on with little difficulty (compared to say, playing a simple board game like chutes and ladders, or sitting still at the table during a meal)

  High calorie foods?

  you need carbs, not calories to put on weight. Calories get burned, carbs get stored(as fat). That being said, I guess breads , pastas amd rice would be considered somewhat healthy. Just eat more of them(carbs) than you are used to.

  What makes you happy?

  when my son, ( 5 y.o. wth autism) asks me a question, laughs, smiles, makes eye contact or listens intently while I read a book, amongst other things be is starting to do. I have many others, but not nearly on the same scale.
