Does lurve matter? I’ve often argued on this site that it is a good way tell who’s new and who’s been around for a while, but no, it doesn’t really matter. “If it doesn’t matter, why don’t you give up your account—and its accompanying lurve—and start over?” is often the challenge to my argument. Well, I decided a while back that I would, in phoenix fashion, abandon this account when I got to 7000 and start over anew. That is, I may still check my PM’s from time to time, but I won’t be writing questions or answers using this account any more.
