  How to detect if a plugin is "installed but disabled" or "not installed" on firefox browser?

  Yes i know how its done from the UI. What i meant was if its possible to detect that from the server side. Say i have disabled a plugin and i forget about it. Now i enter a site that needs that plugin to run some code/flash/feature. So it’ll tell me to install that plugin. I’ll keep installing but it wont work because i have disabled it. Is it possible to tell user that plugin is disabled and so please enable it instead of making him re-install? Thanks

  Why do some websites scroll down painfully on one browser but smoothly on another?

  I dont have a mac but i just checked that site on safari for windows. Scrolls better. Is there some browser setting that i need to do? Or its just a browser internal thing. Anyways, i dont think i can find a solution to this. It could be the high flash/image content or a page not being properly validated or heavy javascript (although i have seen many “loaded” pages scroll fine on all browsers.)

  How about this site then—> http://cedd.raez.net/cedd.html This also has a background but not fixed i suppose. Scrolls poorly on my FF3 but fine on IE6

  What are the various job profiles someone working in an internet company may have? And how much much they earn approx?

  What i meant was if i had an internet startup (not necessarily a startup), say a video site, who would i look to hire in my team to ensure all aspects of running a web firm are covered? So do i hire a guy to look after marketing/publicity, someone who is into web designing, another an expert in j2ee/java stuff? i am assuming a j2ee specialist need not be good at css-based work. So what kind of people will be there? Okay theres a system admin (can a web designer do a system admin work?) ... and….??
