  How do i take a photo from the internet and make it into an avatar on another website?

  hiya! find the photo you want. right click on it. a menu will open. select Save image as. if you have internet explorer it will open a window and ask where to save it. use the window to find your picture folder select it and save. firefox is similar except upon downloading the file a window will pop open to show the progress. once you have your picture you can then use the upload tool on which ever site it is your using. the tool will ask you to browse for your picture by opening a window, use the window to find your picture folder open the folder and double click your your picture. you may then have to click UPLOAD on the tool. I hope that was basic enough for you. Good luck. Bear in mind if you use pictures that are not yours you may be infringing copyright Simon :) ps. 99 times out of 100 the downloaded pic will be small enough to fit oki doki!!
