  Should I buy the new classic ipod, and convert my flac and wma's?

  What about rockbox? Has anyone used it? I would still want a simple user interface, and I know that’s a big issue with rockbox. Secondly going back to my previous point, does anyone have any predictions about the next generation of Creative hard disk based player? Thanks, VJ

  As an American, what should I pack for a 2 week eurotrip?

  Remember to take everything you need. Don’t take the attitude that you can just buy stuff when you are out here. The pound is quite strong to the dollar and everything will be so much more expensive here! It may be worth investing in a big hiking rucksack (the 75+ litres type) to make it easier to travel. It can be a real pain to drag a big ass suitcase everywhere, especially in Europe when travelling a lot by train. Suitcases are a lot more convenient when it comes to packing and accessing your clothes etc, but it’s often easier to travel and I’d argue more fun to take the true backpacking through Europe option!

  What's up with the US economy?

  China currently holds over 1 trillion dollars worth of US currency as foreign reserves. It could potentially liquidate the currency, which would potentially make the dollar worthless. The media is calling this their "nuclear option" - it's a political weapon. Read more about it below...http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2007/08/07/bcnchina107a.xml I live in the UK so it doesn't bother me, especially considering the pound is one of the strongest currencies at the moment, but if you live in the US, it is potentially worrying!

  How many people are happy with upgrading to Window Vista?

  I used it for a brief stint. It looks pretty, but overall, the cons outweigh the benefits... Unless you are interested in DX10 games and have a beast of a PC to handle the visual elements of Vista with ease, don't bother. That said, SP1 is lurking around the corner, but I'd wait to see if it actually solves anything before upgrading.
