I long resisted the idea of the glossy screen. Vehemently. But then I heard a lot of photographers commenting on the richness and overall quality of the glossy. So I got the glossy, and I don’t regret it at all. The reflections don’t bother me at all, unless I start to think about them.
I love the 17”. It’s my primary computer, both on my desk and as a portable. It is a bit hefty. I don’t know if I’d want to do any major traveling with it. I suppose if I needed to power to work on video or photos while traveling, I would suffer the weight. Battery life is excellent, and it’s great to have the screen res and graphics power.
Regarding your answer:
Excellent response, thanks!
