  What is a good quality external hard drive for my iMac?

  I swear by LaCie, and I’m also starting to buy some OWC. FireWire 800 will give you greater transfer speeds for large files. USB 2.0 is fine for smaller files. If you’re going to use the same disk for both Time Machine and regular data storage, be sure to partition the drive into two volumes. Otherwise, Time Machine will eventually eat up the entire drive.

  Which is better, 1password or wallet by acrylic?

  1Password is one of those i-can’t-believe-i-survived-so-long-without-this applications. It works great – even the public beta under 10.6. I use my iPhone to sync between a couple Macs. @StellarAirman: I’m curious how you are using Dropbox to sync. Do you just keep the keychain in your Dropbox, and point 1Password to it there? Have you ever experienced any conflicts or lost data?
