Regarding your answer:

sjmc198,

I think you hit it on the nose with “disappointment” – perfect – great answer – that certainly is, for me, the key element in the complexity of this equation we all call a relationship. And that not too distant cousin known as, “appreciation”, can’t forget her, or him, for when she/he is absent, her kin “disappointment” is soon to make an unwelcome appearance.

Enjoy your weekend – I do hope you have some beautiful weather where you are – appreciate it, and you will indeed be able to deny any arrival of any disappointment at anytime.

Regarding your answer:

We are so spoiled today with the overwhelming abundance of digital images and gigabytes of data.

Precious things, when they are so rare and so fragile, hold such a special place, don’t they? I love rummaging around in antique shops, holding real time tested history in my hands and wondering about it.

I am happy for you and your discovery. Savor that story of the moment you found it again, and treasure the memories you will now continue to find inside of yourself when hold those images up to your heart, once again.

Have a nice weekend – FB

Thanks for your sweet comments. I talk openly about my life in the hopes of reaching others who are struggling in their lives. Had I had the internet or other source of support when I was your age, I think I would have at least found comfort in knowing that there are others that can relate to my issues, and might have been inspired by those who were further along in their evolution.

Sometimes I marvel at how far I’ve come, other times I get discouraged by how much I have yet to face. But I know that the minute someone thinks they’ve got it all figured out is when the $#!+ hits the fan and life proves you wrong. So that’s why I use terms like journey and evolution, even though they sound corny.

I wanted to link you to some of the other comments I’ve made regarding journey:

We have many people in the collective who are in various stages of dealing with establishing mental/emotional stability in their lives. Religion is also a hot topic on Fluther. If you type some key words in the Search box, or click a Topic in the box on the right of the main page, you will get a list of all related questions. feel free to rummage through the older questions, and even to add your own comments. Most of us seem to get a kick out of having older questions resurface, or getting Lurve for a response you posted months back.

Feel free to contact me if you want to address anything directly. Hang in there – it does get better!
