Rise up this mornin’,
Smiled with the risin’ sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin’ sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin’, “This is my message to you-u-u.”

(RE: comment(s) on Which of Mankind’s inventions are you most thankful for?)
I do though! I love debating pedagogues. One of my main plans for ridiculous quantities of money (whether I earn it myself or coerce various sources to fund it) is a school system specializing in alternative forms of education. Have you read Émile (By Jean-Jacques Rousseau, I know it’s not recent but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I tried to handle it in the original french but didn’t have the vocabulary, had to continually refer to english translations). I’m going to have to look up this Ishmael series. Now are you talking about society and philosophy or philosophies of education (aka pedagogues)? We should do some reading/research and then write a Fluther about it. Ooohh I’m excited, my first good question idea.
hmm philosophical novels, interesting I think I’ll try and read them some time soon. If we’re debating things on the societal side of life, a friend of mine found an excellent social psychology theory/paper/article about sexism and the role of men in society throughout the ages that I thought was particularly enlightening and novel. It’s titled Is there anything good about men?. Don’t worry it’s not actually a misandrist article, its name is a bit tongue-in-cheek, though the article as a whole isn’t.
fucking hilarious “why don’t you visit an english grade classroom and…”
Yea, sorry about the grammatically horrible post. It was typed under “heated” circumstances so it came out a bit faster than I would have liked.
I did, however, want to thank you for being tactful when I was not.
I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover (or title), but Lives of the Monster Dogs just sounds bad.
