Why won't Spore start?

I have had Spore Galactic Edition for a while and now it’s fucked. When I start in the windows is a purplish color, then it says an error stopped it from working or something. I don’t wan’t my $80 and months, (MONTHS) of work to go down the drain. Please Help!

I have a video I might get online soon showing it crash.

It looks like you have no choice but to uninstall the game and then reinstall it. Before you do so though, back up one of the following folders:

Vista: C:/Users/[your user name]/AppData/Roaming/SPORE/Games/Game0
xp: C:/Documents and Settings/[your user name]/Application Data/SPORE/Games/Game0

The thing is that I’ve heard that when you reinstall, and put the old files in it doesn’t recognize any if your stuff as yours.
