How do I download media from the Internet Archive to my computer and then iPod/iTunes?

Asked by perg (2624points) October 12th, 2010

If you haven’t already see the Internet Archive, get over there. Lots of very cool media from way back.

There are also some great movies in the public domain that I’d like to download to my external hard drive (and later to my iPod) but I’m having trouble navigating their system or making sense of their instructions. Can someone explain the process to me in words of one syllable or less?

On the movies I’ve seen, there’s a link labeled Download as MP4. If you right click on that and select download, you can import it (or drag the file) to iTunes and put it on your iPod.

Ah. I don’t get “Download” as a right-click option with any browser and it was confusing me. I tried “Save target as…” and it worked. Thanks.

Yes… That’s one thing browsers should make standard. It confuses so many people.
