Help me understand this question?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7991points) October 13th, 2010

Okay, I’m doing a social work assignment, and I would normally ask the professor himself about a clarification, but he’s at his mother’s funeral and I’d rather not disturb him or anything in his time of grief…

Basically, the question is, “Social workers can work in a variety of positions. Identify four positions that a social worker could have.”

The problem is, does it mean positions like careers, or degrees, or something? I would assume it means careers, but the question before asked “Social workers are employed in a variety of settings, list four of them.”

So I’m confused. I know the answers for the different possibilities, but it could go either way, I think. I know what careers they could work in, and I know what degrees they can have, but its kind of unclear.

What do you think positions means in this?
