What is in your "online-routine"?

Asked by interweb (319points) October 14th, 2010

Sites you visit on the regular bases and continue to for over the years or maybe months. What keeps you coming back?

For me its:

Fluther: orgasmic
Youtube: you can literally find anything on there
Hotmail: to check emails
and if I have nothing better to do sigh Facebook.

What are yours?

Yep… Mail, Fluther, R/C stuff. I cycle through that a few times. Then walk away.

Google Reader: over 50 RSS feeds keep me up to date with everything I love
iGoogle: stream of content from other sites I like, plus the weather and mail
Fluther: fluthergasm!
Gmail and Yahoo! Mail: for mail, of course!
Facebook: obvious
Are You Watching This?: always checking my picks and my rank

While enjoying a cup of coffee usually accompanied by a breakfast taco:

Astronomy Picture of the Day
Science Daily
Topix
SciTech Daily
Slashdot

And time permitting: personal email and a quick look at investment performance.

Then… work with frequent bouts of Fluther.

Too biological to discuss here.

fluther, facebook, gmail, stuff I need to do for work—usually a lot of research, sometimes: new york times, phillies, philadelphia inquirer, eagles, google (for shopping)

I could waste all day on Fluther or the Internet Archive (archive.org). I check FB obsessively and I don’t know why because it’s becoming a bore. I check CNN several times during the day just to see what’s up in the world (not because I think they do a great job, but it’s comprehensive and timely). I also love to pop in on cuteoverload.com and passiveaggressivenotes.com when I need a laugh.

I have a Blackberry, so I usually don’t check my email on the computer. So Facebook, work stuff, then Fluther. Then Quora, and then a bunch of blogs like Treehugger, Inhabitat, Chronicle of Higher Ed.

I have a dozen or so forums that I hit up regularly. Facebook and Fluther are my only daily sites.

Yahoo, hgtv, facebook, blackboard, then fluther, and then I stay on fluther throughout the day. I go on different sites depending on my interests of the day
