Incense + nap = headache?

Asked by longtresses (1334points) October 18th, 2010

1) Can incense cause headache?

E.g. when you almost fall asleep at an acquaintance’s place, and he has this incense in the background. When you wake up from the reverie state, you have this headache/stuckness/grogginess.

2) If not, can a joint smell in the background cause headache?

If it’s a joint, will it be possible to ask someone to sniff my jacket and verify if it is?

3) If not, can a plain reverie/alpha state cause headache?

There are impure incense sticks/cones..,that may do it.
Yes, on the joints.

Incense can deffinately cause a headache! I use it to cover up the smell of pot when I smoke and it almost cancels out my high =[ I’ve never had weed smell cause a headache though!

it gives my mom a headache when I burn it. It doesn’t seem to bother me though.

The tiny particles that make up the smoke of any substance, incense, pot, cigarettes or fireplace, can reduce the oxygen content of the blood and give you a headache.

When I referred above to “impure insense”...I didn’t go into details. Common impurities include fecal matter. Use caution regarding your sources.

Incense bothers me. I like it, but it gives me a headache and makes me cough.

I burn it almost every day, it gives me headaches regardless. So if you sleep with it burning in the background I think itll give you some sort of light headache when you wake up.

Smoke can be irritating from insence, cigarettes or even a fireplace if you’re sensitive. I like aroma therapy but prefer oils over fire.

Oh, ok. I take it as my headache being caused by the incense, not waking up from the reverie, or even the incense being pot. Thanks!
