What is the best time/place to see whales in Baja?

I've heard whales go down to Baja to breed and that you can see them nursing and playing with their young baby whales...what time of year does this happen and how can I go?

A lot of grey whales migrate to San Ignacio in baja around March/April. There was a great article about people in boats "petting" the whales there in the LA times about a year ago - I bet you could still find it online. Pretty cool....
