Does anybody know an easy way to draw your own electrical/electronic diagrams in ladder or schematic drawings on your computer?

This is not a matter of copying or pasting drawings from the internet but I’ve developed my own circuits for phase converters, oscillators, timers and motor winding circuits among other things. I wanted a way where I could create my own drawings for my ideas and save the drawings as documents so I can print out my circuits on my printer anytime I need to.

I only have what my computer came with, Microsoft Works Word Processor. I know how to use Works for creating resumes, graphs, greeting cards among other things but I’m not sure I can do what I want as far as drawing out electrical circuits goes on Works. I’ve tried searching the web but with no luck.

Is there a way I can use Works to do this or do I need a version of Office or something else? Are there any links that would show me how. I don’t want to draw the circuits on paper and copy them (which I have been doing) I want to draw the circuits and save the diagram to a document folder so I can print out copies at any time I need them.
