“A resting heart rate for women is considered “normal” if it is between about 70–80 beats per minute.” Source

It entirely depends on the individual and their level of fitness. Mine is a low 44bpm. Winner of 5 Tour’s de France, Miguel Indurain, had a resting heart rate of 29bpm!

We were taught 60–100 for the normal resting heart rate (and according to this it still is accurate), but I believe the average is closer to 60–80 like @marinelife pointed out. People that are very athletic tend to have lower resting heart beats, as @meiosis pointed out.

Mine is quite low also (bradycardia), but I’m a run often as well as workout.

I’ve read that normal is anywhere between 60 and 100. 100 seems very fast to me, but mine is slow which comes along with the low BP I think.
