What are some good resources for someone interested in Steampunk?

I am trying to put together a Steampunk ensemble or two but I am at a loss as to where I can find good information on how to put together such an ensemble. I’ve found a few websites that sell Steampunk clothing and give some ideas on how to create a Steampunk look but the prices are usually pretty outrageous and there are few women’s clothes that aren’t at a risk of sounding indelicate completely girly and ridiculous. Honestly, what airship captain would run around in heels and a floor length dress? I also search Etsy for some Steampunk items but not only is the search feature more than a little difficult on Etsy, but the prices there can also be pretty high.
