Are the clocks in your house set on time, or fast or slow?

Asked by jca (36062points) October 30th, 2010

My clocks are usually set 5 or 10 minutes early. I off-set this by calculating the exact time and still always being late anyway!

Are your clocks exactly on time, or fast or slow?

On time. Well until 2am tomorrow morning. Clocks go back an hour, in Britain at least.

On time or within a minute or so.

Reminds me I want to synchronize my car clock.

I always have my clocks on time.
@ucme Ah yes…. an extra hour in bed tomorrow… bliss :)))))

On time. I had one set to the time in Iraq, but when we replaced my microwave (while my husband was home), we just set it to the time here.

@partyparty Yeah, best of all…..on a Sunday! :¬)

My main living room clock is set on time.
All my other clocks are set fast.

Mine are all on time. What makes me late is not the actual time, but underestimating how long it will take me to squeeze in just one more thing before it’s time to leave.

My main clock is my cable box which is on time, and my computer as well. My microwave clock is 12 minutes ahead… I don’t know why but I like it like that!

The clocks on my computer and mobile phone always seem to know the correct time. They even reset themselves automagically for DST. The one other clock that I have is an old Radio Shack digital clock on my night table. I have to adjust the hour twice a year, but otherwise, it keeps perfect time. I’ve never had to adjust the minutes that I can remember.

Otherwise, I avoid, whenever possible, buying appliances and electronics that have clocks built in.

Oh wow…tomorrow is the time shift…bah humbug! lol

This means my animals are now locked in darkness in their barn for a solid 12 hours a day, we all hate it! haha

Clocks in the house are on time, but the clock in the car is 10 minutes fast.

@worriedguy

Oh, you’re one of those geniuses that can figure out military time ey?
I’d never know what time was.

Does anybody reallllly know what time it is, does anybody really care? lol

On time set by the Atomic clock time. I get crazy nuts if a clock is fast or slow!

filmfann's avatar

All clocks set correctly.

chyna's avatar

All my clocks are the Atomic clocks, so they are on time. I then set my watch by them.

downtide's avatar

On time. It drives me crazy if clocks are wrong.

YARNLADY's avatar

They vary. I try to keep them on computer time but they keep changing on me.

OpryLeigh's avatar

On time. I always check my phone for the time as that sets itself so I m confident that its right!

HungryGuy's avatar

I do the same thing. My phone always knows the current time, anywhere in the world I happen to be. My phone is my time benchmark.

All are on time except for one. It belonged to my grandparents who kept it on their living room mantel. My aunt gave it to me several years ago, and it cost $75 to get it working again. Unfortunately, not well enough, as it now runs on its own quirky measure of time. I can’t give up the clock…just look at it.

HungryGuy's avatar

That’s a beautiful clock. There must be places that specialize in repairing/restoring clocks like that. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were people who specialize in that particular clock.

on time. Probably a few seconds early. l.0.l.
