Is just a little bit of Fluther worse than no Fluther at all?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46804points) November 1st, 2010

Meh. I don’t get here very much any more. My work schedule is usually 8 to 4:30, except for Monday when I don’t have to be to work until 11: 30 (till 8 p.m.) so I Fluther every Monday morning…and just about the time I get swinging I have to quit and get ready for work. It leaves me DISSATISFIED AND FRUSTRATED!!!

The rest of the time it’s just a few seconds of jump-on, post, jump-out, which sucks too.

And now…I have to leave and take a shower. Good bye! sniff.

Oh, no, no Fluther is the worst.

No Fluther is pretty bad, but I would be frustrated if I could spend only five minutes. I think a little bit is worse.

It’s going to depend upon the situation.

No Fluther At All For the people who have yet to discover it, ignorance is bliss. I told one friend about it, and he lasted all of 3–4 days before canceling his account; it wasn’t his cup of tea. Should some of the Jellies have to give it up cold turkey, they might get a bit cranky, like someone who gives up cigarettes.

Just a Little Bit of Fluther might be psychologically painful, but it seems like the lesser of the two evils. It’s healthier to do things in moderation, right? It might also help in learning to prioritize. I like reading some questions that I have no value to offer in a response, yet I often learn from them. Those would be the first ones to get cut for me.

For me, no Fluther is worse. I left for a while the beginning of September because I wanted a break. When I wanted to come back the beginning of October, I couldn’t. We moved and could not find an internet service provider. Wanting to be here but not being able to was a pain. Luckily we finally found an isp mid October.

Just a little bit is better than nothing. You quickly find that you really aren’t missing too much. It’s easy to get caught up.

No, no Fluther is definitely worse. If I am pressed for time I try and get on just to empty my “questions for you” and “activity for you”.

I would prefer just a little bit of Fluther than no Fluther at all. Which is what I’m doing today. Just an hour.

A little bit is much preferred. Last night I had just enough time to post one comment that made me feel immeasurably better after a rough evening. That alone was worth it. And our favorite Fluther Mother sent me a PM offering to kick the offender in the shin! Yay, Fluther!

Wham, bam thank you ma’am.

You should really find a way to satisfy yourself in the amount of Fluther-time you have. Maybe you need some jelly-toys?

I find it frustrating when I can only sit here for an hour or two, instead the usual all day thing, but a little is better than none.

@janbb : I love your funky post-Halloween persona!

@JilltheTooth I’m a whole different person after I’ve had my Diet Cherry Coke hit for the day.

Ju guys…I’ve gone from four years of All Day (if you throw Wis.dm into the mix) to Monday mornings for one hour only!!! It hurts!!

@Dutchess_III I can understand how you feel. Thre is a great difference in my Fluthering during the times when I am very involved with it and the periods when it takes a back seat to other aspects of my life. I’m sharper and more engaged when I Fluther more. (However, other things suffer.)
