Do you think of Fluther while you're away?

Asked by Trillian (21148points) November 1st, 2010

I thought of Fluther twice in the past couple days while I was out and doing stuff. I saw some pretty stained glass and thought of @lucillelucillelucille. I saw a man pass several people who were waiting in line at the grocery store and he took a self check out machine. I thought; “I wonder what people like that are thinking. I wonder if I asked the collective if I could get any honest answers from people who actually do this, and not specualtion from people who don’t. I don’t and I can speculate myself.”
So, I think of questions to pose to the group sometimes, though I generally forget to ask by the time I get home. And random things will make me think of a particular Jelly (ie?) during the course of my day.
Is Fluther this much a part of your life too?

I do sometimes, especially with little things that make me think of a question, which I always end up forgetting by the time I get home.

Awww:))
You’ve got to try it
Now,every morning when I have my coffee,I will be thinking of you!
If I ever see the coffee make the scary face,I will think of peeing my pants! XD
There is an antique store in my town that I think of Vunessuh and what she wants from there.

All. The. Time. I even dream about it! I might be a tad obsessive. :p

I do, in both ways, just as you said. Sometimes I will think about a specific jelly when I’m not on Fluther. Something will remind me of them, or just generally wondering about them for whatever reason.
I also have learned to channel as much of my curiosity as humanly possible into Fluther. So every time I have an inkling of a question, Fluther immediately comes to mind. I can’t wait to get on and ask.

I often wonder, “Is she really the only Neffie?”

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

LOL!! That really did make me laugh.

Of course I am the only me.

I must confess whenever I watch One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest i’m reminded of this place. There are a few “Ratched clones!” As well as an assortment of lovable rogues shall I say? :¬)

@augustlan : I dream about it, too. Guess I should start worrying, huh…

I keep thinking about keeping a Fluther pad in my handbag for when I think of a good question or something I might want to ask…but I find myself too busy at the moment… I wish wish wish Fluther could be more of a part of my life….

Aesthetic_Mess's avatar

Yea. I think of questions I want to ask.

A little bit, yes. Having been here for almost two years now, it’s hard not to think of some of the people I have gotten to know here when I’m out and about. For example, I know MamaCakes loves old barns. We just moved to a very rural area and I come across old, funky barns all the time now. They make me think of her and how much she would love to see these barns and take photos of them. :)

I think about Fluther all the time, especially in the shower.

I bake cookies and wonder why @cprevite isn’t around to eat them.

Sometimes I think to myself “I’m looking forward to relaxing with Fluther later” or “I wonder if anyone has replied to my answer on such and such”.

I’m usually too busy, drunk or asleep to think about here when I’m not here, but it’s happened a few times, mostly when I thought up some questions I’d like to ask.

Yes, I look forward to relaxing with Fluther as @Leanne1986 said. Sometimes it’s not completely relaxing, a little irritation occassionally! I often tell family and friends anecdotes about what’s been said on here or things I’ve learned.

@janbb: I’m always available for cookies.

and how do penguins bake without thumbs?

janbb's avatar

@cprevite Prehensile feet!

Trillian's avatar

I can see the flippers, flapping the cookies back and forth to shape them, like a woman making tortillas.

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

That is a really cute visual.

janbb's avatar

See how I hold the book? Cookie making is the same principle but the feet are involved too.

Little black feather bits in the dough, pretending to be chocolate chips. I’m actually ok with it. Pass me one of them bad boys! ;-)

Sigh. Only in in the car wash. And in the shower. And at the grocery store. And at Walmart. And at work. And in traffic. And especially when watching NOVA…there are cool things, sometime minute things that come up through-out every day that I just want to run through The Collective and see what comes out the other end side.

I’m reigniting my love for Fluther right now
