What is a 3G phone man I am out dated and am trying to find out?

A faster form of data transmission via cellular networks. Also, less common than slower 2 and 2.5 G-eneration data transfer technologies. Colloquially, it’s regarded as “high speed” and is considered the baseline technology for live video streaming.
