I found this:

When building a volleyball court, official rules and regulations must be followed for competition level volleyball games. Universal guidelines have been adopted by governing volleyball associations for setting up a volleyball court and setting the proper net height for playing indoor or outdoor volleyball games.
Unlike official volleyball rules and regulations for playing, guidelines for regulation court dimensions and net heights has remained relatively unchanged throughout the history of volleyball as an organized sport.
Official Volleyball Court Dimensions for Indoor or Outdoor Games
It is important for official volleyball court dimensions to be followed precisely, particularly when the area is typically permanently marked for indoor courts.
The standard court size for both indoor and outdoor volleyball courts are 29’6” x 59’ (18 m x 9 m). Indoor courts also include an attack line that is designated by a line 9’10” (3 m) back from the center line (where the net is located). The attack line separates the front row of players and the back row of players. Back row players are not allowed to spike or block from behind the attack line.
The volleyball court area is also designated by official lines that are painted or affixed along the perimeter of the court approximately 2” (5 cm) wide. The volleyball court area must also be surrounded by a free zone of approximately 10 feet (3 meters) around the sides and end zones. Players may enter into this free zone during the game, however a ball entering the zone from the opposing team is considered out.
Volleyball court dimensions and requirements are less structured for outdoor games because it is difficult to place all the necessary markings on the ground. However, good volleyball net systems for competitive outdoor games typically include boundary lines for the designated court area.

According to USA Volleyball Domestic Competition Regulations, competition volleyball nets should measure 39” (1 m) wide and 31’6”-33’ (9.50 to 10 m) long. The regulation height of volleyball nets is 7’115/8” (2.43 m) for men and 7’41/8” (2.24 m) for women. The net height can be adjusted for age groups.
Quality volleyball nets should include a top and bottom horizontal band constructed of two-fold canvas or durable vinyl. The canvas or vinyl must extend the full length of the net and include cords that keep the top and bottom of the net straight and taut during volleyball games.
Equipment for a Competition Level Volleyball Court
Invest in the latest equipment when building a volleyball court for competitive games. With quality equipment, a volleyball court and net system will be more durable and last longer. Additional volleyball court equipment, such as net antennas or referee stands, is important for competitive volleyball matches. Following guidelines for volleyball courts with official markings, net heights and equipment will make it easier for players to follow official volleyball rules and referees to make fair calls on plays throughout games.
