Question about the villian in the PBS version of Sherlock Holmes' Study in Pink?

For those of you who saw Sherlock Holmes on Masterpiece Theater, what was up with the villain’s voice in the episode called ‘A Study in Pink’?

And does anyone know if there will be a second season? I absolutely love this show, and it kind of ended on a complete cliffhanger…

Not sure what you mean about the guy’s voice… But the show is getting a second series. Three 90-minute episodes again, in autumn of 2011.

Edit: P.S. If you only saw the show on PBS, you missed stuff. Either buy the DVD or find a place to download the full episodes the way they were aired on BBC.
