Have you ever accidentally created a joke that keeps on giving?

O man. I don’t know if I told you guys this story but: I take my grandkids to school. Every morning I stop directly under that little ole sign that has the letter ‘P’ within a circle, with a line through it (all parking rules go by the wayside at pick up and drop off times at the schools.) I get out of the car with them and walk them to the crosswalk and make sure they take proper ‘crossing the road’ precautions. Aden is 5, and is Learning His Letters. Well, one day he looked up at the sign and said, “That is the letter ‘P’! Puh! Puh! Puh!”
I said, “Very good! And…you know what it means? With the line through it and everything? It means you can’t pee there. You have to find a bathroom.”
Soooo….he repeated that lesson all the way to the crosswalk! I figured it would come out again with another adult when I wasn’t around…but it’s gotten even better (or worse) than that!

My daughter and a friend were walking with Aden through the Walmart parking lot when he stopped and asked them about the handicapped parking symbol. Corrie explained what it was, that that’s where people who have to use wheelchairs get to park.
Aden said, “No it isn’t! That’s where you can pee, Mom!!!”

@Dutchess_III Yes I dooo! My oldest taught me the very same thing when years ago at a family gathering he went up to his bald great Uncle and said….“Uncle Les….why don’t you just go to Walgreens/CVS and get some new hair!!” XD

I wish life were that simple as seen through the eyes of a 6 yr old!!

When my daughter was learning to read, she was really hooked on phonics. While driving she would read all the signs and when she came to the sign “Pedestrian Crossing”, she asked mom what is a ‘pee da strain’. To this day I can’t look at the word without smiling.
