Can I remove all formatting from a CD?

I have several light-scribe discs that I burned bootable programs onto that didn’t work. Is there a way to erase them completely and burn another ISO onto them? I hate leaving unlabeled light-scribe discs unused.

If they are CDRW (rewrittable) then you can erase the disc and start over as long as you didn’t finalize it.. that occurs when you create like an Audio CD.. but I am not sure if burning an ISO finalizes or not.
