(VERY NSFW) Can futanari be real?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7991points) November 21st, 2010

I wrongly stumbled on a manga that I thought was something (and it obviously wasn’t), and it was about something called “futanari” (a genre of Japanese anime or manga featuring hermaphrodite women; a character in such works).
So, I looked it up on some website, and it had pictures (unfortunately), and they were of “real” women with these gigantic penises. We’re talking, 12’ or something. So… is this a normal occurrence? Or is this all fake, with dildos or something?

Haha well if you mean with the women in society having a penis, I say no….at least for me. It’s only a guess and I’m not sure I want to find out about it in reality….I like it better in the anime/manga….But for my own guess I agree that it may be a dildo or so….

In real life, the closest I can think of is a transgendered individual getting a sex change, or maybe something like hermaphroditism.

As far as hentai goes, a lot of futanari is complete exaggeration and could never happen in real life.

Hermaphroditic and “ambiguously gendered” humans do exist, but they are very rare and are never as well developed in both genders as futanari images depict. (From my exceedingly limited exposure to those images… ahem.)

My first thought as well was of transgendered people having had surgery. Specifically, a biological male getting breast implants. It’s possible for men to have 12” penises, so maybe that’s what you saw photos of. I really doubt it’s possible for a person to naturally have large breasts as well as a large penis.
From what I know, hermaphroditic people have both sets of genitalia, but as @CyanoticWasp said, they’re not as well-developed in both.

So, I have an interest in this. And with that statement that I seal the fact that I will never link this to facebook and so I know a bit. It is entirely possible for a female-bodied person to have a penis, either through a female-sexed trans-man getting surgery to get a penis or a male-sexed trans-woman getting breast implants, and not the other bits. However, this doesn’t actually fit ‘futanari’, because that term refers to true hermaphrodites, and neither of those have both parts, as the surgery to go one way will essentially destroy the other parts.

A true hermaphrodite would have both genetalia, and only really exists in fantasies (or nightmares?). While certain genetic conditions can cause a person to have both, they’re almost always underdeveloped, and always sterile. This is also assuming they live to puberty, which many do not (the conditions, unfortunately, usually lead to very short lives). As such, they are also not futanari.

Now, the stuff you sumbled on are usually photoshop. Sometimes dildoes (I come across silly japanese videos from time to time that jsut look silly), but usually anything that looks even close to real are either photoshop, or a transgendered person. Real futanari is purely the realm of fiction.

and for my reputation, what little of it I have left, my knowledge of those medical conditions come from my schooling (i’m a biochemist, these things come up), and not because of my other ahem interests. I’m not that bad

also, 12 feet? Jeeze. That’s a little excessive. Though i have to admit something like 3’ is relatively common in that genre

The stuff of fantasy only. If they have photos and not drawings, they are photoshopped almost certainly. The only true hermaphrodites I have seen had quite small penises.

@ETpro Where’d you see them?

@plethora I have never met one, as far as I know. The only ones I have seen have been in photos defining the condition, and a spread one men’s magazine ran once.
