What is the best way to tie my scarf around my head?

Details, please. I am kind of slow so the idiots guide to scarf tieing would be fine. A method that will cover my neck, face, ears and stay put comfortably would be very nice.

Right now I just use any stubble I have to keep the first part of the wrapping in place. Then just shrink wrap my head with the scarf, and towel tuck the end. It works, but maybe there are some other time tested ways.

Are you talking about tying a winter scarf around your head and face, or are you talking about using fabric to create a head covering?
