Have you ever felt like you're in the twilight zone?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46811points) December 2nd, 2010

I imagine this will get modded, but this is really weird. I’ve never had this happen before. I’ve been here for almost two hours, asked two questions (this makes three) and posted several responses in several other questions. Not one of my questions has received a hit, and not one person has responded in any of the other questions I’ve posted in. I go to the “active” questions in Social…and they’re all weeks to almost a year old. It’s like….Who are you and what have you done with my Jellies???? Either that or…do I need to brush my teeth? Or what?

OK, here’s a hit for you but I’m not quite sure what you mean. I came here cuz of the Twilight Zone reference. ;-) Now I feel bad so I’ll look for your other questions.
Edit to add: I saw one of your other questions, but not both…and now I realize you said 2 q’s and I just feel silly.

Oh! I love you @JilltheTooth! Seriously! It’s just…weird. Like, there is no one here but maybe Ghosts from Questions Past….

Now I feel really bad cuz I hafta go to bed in a few minutes cuz I’m still a sickie and my inner mommy is telling me to get some sleep…. but we’ve seeded this Q with 3 posts so others will flock to it…

I only see two questions from you today (this one and the one about being irritable after having really good things happen). I didn’t respond to the other one because I really didn’t know what to say when I read it. I hit to follow it to get an idea of what other people thought though. What was your third question? Did it get pushed back for editing?

As far as the questions in the “active” section being days and weeks old, the questions are that old, but the most recent response to that question is not that old. The active section shows the questions that have been most recently active. So, if you hover over the time stamp thing, you’ll see that the last response was just recently given. It just means that people are still answering in those older questions.

On a side note, it does seem to be a bit slow this evening.

You know what? Maybe I’m just tired. I went to find my other questions, and I guess I only posted the one. And this makes the second. Geez. It’s been a long, long day.

I think we all have those days when it feels as if were invisible or being ignored. When its slow, Jellies seem to just lurk and pass on answering questions. Don’t take it personal…you are much lurved :D

Maybe it’s better than the alternative – people who insist on posting nasty comments on all your questions and answers.

I try to keep up with your contributions, and find them to be very interesting.

Did someone say something?

I do feel like things have been moving slowly around here lately. Which is odd, because it seemed like the server was overloaded. So you would think it would be hopping… but I’m with you.

Well there has been a pretty sizeable loss of active regulars and yes it does seem like questions come and go with less input here but I always say quality over quantity!

‘Tis also the season for everybody to be doing other stuff. Except for me, it seems, I’m here all the bloody time. But I’m feeling better now so I hope I won’t be here quite so much she says while sitting here…

It’s a COOKBOOK!

Dutchess_III's avatar

@AmWiser Thank you!
@iamthemob WHADDA YA MEAN IT’S A COOKBOOK???

JilltheTooth's avatar

@Dutchess_III : If I’m not mistaken, she’s referring to the Twilight Zone reference. The book is titled To Serve Man.
@iamthemob : I tried a few of their recipes, didn’t like it, too much salt. ;-)
