Is it safe to give my leopard gecko a bath?

Asked by vade66 (68points) December 2nd, 2010

I want to give my leopard gecko a bath and was wondering if it is safe. If so, where would I give him a bath? Is it safe to use tap water? Or would it be too dangerous?

There’s no need for them to have a bath unless they are having issues shedding..

Stick to sun-baths for now.

There are gekkos everywhere here and I have never seen one in water. Why do you think it needs a bath? Here is a pic of one of the little devils in my kitchen.

I don’t think it would be dangerous to give him a bath; the ones that live in the wild must get wet sometimes.

I agree with the others, though: There’s no need for him to have one, and why do you want to bathe him anyway?
