What is the definition of the "supportability" of a product or service?

Asked by SmellyBoy (242points) December 3rd, 2010

Trying to answer a question that asks to “Discuss the purpose, history, functionality, and supportability of the product or service.” The product is kind of irrelevant, I just need to know what my professor means by supportability.

Like buying a new Chrysler automobile.

You are really going to need supportability with this car. this means to have a mechanic and tow truck on stand-by for the remainder of the cars life. did i mention Chrylers favorite color is lemon yellow?
