What is the link for the online Edgar Allan Poe black and white bit game?

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I’m desperate.

I played a black and white bit game that was based off of Edgar Allan Poe once, but I don’t remember what it was called.
You walked through a mansion, clicked on objects, and tried not to get killed by things jumping out at you.

If anyone could give me the link that would be great! Thanks! =]

I can’t find any games specifically based off a work of Edgar Allen Poe that meet the description. There are a number of modern games that are based off his works, the most popular references to these games on Google are the titles Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy and another game, “Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe’s The Black Cat”. Both use 3D graphics and run natively, so I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for.

Another possibiity is an indie game made in the style of classic point-and-click gaming, named The Malstrum’s Mansion. Even if it’s not what you were looking for, it’s a pretty fun game to play if you’re into that kind of thing.
