How do you "build" your favorite sandwich?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) December 4th, 2010

You are in a delicatessen shop. The owner allows you to build your favorite sandwich, free of charge. There are all kinds of meats, veggies, boiled eggs and smoked dog biscuits at your disposal. So, what are your choices? I just had a pimento cheese sandwich. It was on a fresh hamburger bun with lettuce and a pinch of horseradish for a zippy taste. Question: are you ready to build your own? Ready, set,......go!

Foot long rye bread. Turkey, ham, and roast beast. Toast it. Then a little lettuce. Salt and pepper. No oil, vinegar, or other fluids. Done.

I want something with a lot of meat, swiss cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and plenty of black olives and banana peppers.

I eat at Subway too much…

@Symbeline – That’s exactly where I go. There’s a Subway just as I get out of work on my way to the subway :-p

Sourdough bread, smoked turkey, smoked ham, a couple slices of bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, peperoncinis, a little olive oil, a splash of red wine vinegarette, and salt and pepper. I think that’s all, with a nice big pickle spear and some salt and vinegar chips!!! YUM!

Turkey on seedless rye with Russian dressing or a dutch crunch with honey maple turkey, mayo, lettuce, tomato, peppers (those kinda spicy yellow ones), chips (ON the sandwich!), avocado, red onion. Derish!

Turkey, cream cheese, avocado, bacon, alfalfa sprouts, French dressing on a fresh chewy roll.

I’m a veggie so it would be swiss cheese, sliced thin and piled high on rye bread, with ripe avocado, shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, really good red ripe tomatoes (sliced super thin, not those mealy pink ones) with mayo and this really great tasting sweet hot mustard called Beaver brand, that I recently discovered at a Jewish deli in my town, served with salt and vinegar potato chips and a big dill pickle spear.
