Why does FB constantly change it's format?

Asked by jca (36062points) December 6th, 2010

It’s like every four months, FB changes it’s format. It’s so annoying. Something to learn and get accustomed to all the time.

Because there are some people that believe constantly changing is a good thing? I’d say they think it’ll be a good idea. I didn’t upgrade to the new profile this time and I have no intention to for now. I like the old one just fine.

Facebook now lists Katawagrey’s two (male) cousins as her parents. Sometimes change is a bit confusing.

It still hasn’t effected my account. I’ve seen a couple, very few, profiles that have been changed. I don’t think I’ll be updating of my own accord.

The reason for this particular change is to help your friends and contacts know you better. Before there were several clicks to get to know you. Now it’s all laid out. I have not agreed with some of there changes, but I updated myself to the new profile and quite enjoy it. Its a lot cleaner.

In order to distract attention from their massive security and privacy issues.
Firesheep, anyone?

So they don’t become old and boring. No matter how much you want to deny that fact your body is going to want to see the new.

Its very annoying, I’ve had facebook since 2004 and they’ve probably had half a dozen MAJOR format changes, and another half a dozen minor ones.

Everytime people bitch and moan but they keep it, and then after we’re all used to that version they change it again.

They apparently don’t believe in the mantra of “if its not broken don’t fix it.”
