This is like asking “what’s the best way to die?” and in both cases the answer is ‘Breakfast’.

I think I recall really liking the taco one. I never buy them anymore….I might, but the stores only carry the shitty ones aka all the ones aside from the good taco ones.

Whoa, I’m blushing!

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities and @noelleptc linked to the exact same video. Somewhere, Jim Gaffigan is smiling.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities awww, I wanted to post that! You beat me to it. Apparently, so did Noel. I’m way late.

@noelleptc, @J0E, @TheOnlyNeffie Isn’t Jim the best? I saw him perform live a while back, and outside the show there was a guy dressed up as a giant Hot Pocket handing out coupons for Hot Pockets. Good times.

4 meat 4 cheese.

The bomb. :)

I like the BBQ ones, both beef and chicken. The lean pockets have a fiesta chicken one and a white pizza one that are good too.

deliasdancemom's avatar

Hmmm im gonna go for the BBQ chicken one on grocery day I think :)

Beef is better to me… but they’re cheap so try both! The panini ones and the round ones (Mediterranean, I think) are good too.

My homemade ones. I made a couple of dozen from left over turkey, and there’s only one baggy of two left.

Ham and cheese, for sure.

The gooeyness of melted cheddar fused with the magic that is pork.

I used to love me some hot pockets about 20 years ago before I became a vegetarian. As far as I know they don’t have any veggie varieties and all of the ones I’ve seen are extremely high in sodium, which is a no no for my folks that have heart problems.

Maybe someone could invent a healthy, good tasting Hot Pocket substitute that has some veggie offerings. I know Amy’s pocket sandwiches are very good, but they don’t contain any meat, is that ok?

I can’t believe no one has mentioned this yet, but the Croissant Pockets are infinitely superior. The ‘crust’ of the regular Hot Pocket is weird and gross to me, it’s like some alien food product. The croissant ones are light, crispy, and deliciously flaky.

I liked the meatball one, the 4 cheese one, and the sausage and egg breakfast one is super yum.

deliasdancemom's avatar

@kardamom there is one kind of vegetarian hot pocket but most stores don’t have it, its just broccoli cheddar, as for the Amys, I wish I could eat em but all amys products I’ve looked at have nut allergen warnings and im highly allergic :(

MissAnthrope's avatar

Oh yeah, and how could I forget! The chicken, broccoli, and cheese is really good, too. Croissant, of course.

I used to be quite the Hot Pocket connoisseur. I basically lived on them for a while. I am very lazy about cooking, especially when it’s just me.

I like the ham and cheese lean pockets : )

@deliasdancemom I think you may have an un-tapped market here to fill. You can make your fortune by coming up with (and marketing) a pocket sandwich that is healthy, doesn’t contain allergens and tastes fantastic! Any of you baker/chefs out there in Flutherville want to help her out?

Something like this herbed potato, broccoli and cheese empanada like this would be great if you could get it frozen at the grocery store.

deliasdancemom's avatar

@Kardamom ohh yes,my very own line of vegetarian allergy friendly frozen pocket sandwiches :D that would be grand!
