Any ideas for faking symptoms tomorrow in order to miss school?

Asked by laurora (31points) December 12th, 2010

Well, I really am not in the mood to do my homework that’s due tomorrow. Such a great student, I know :P. I’ve been sneezing a lot, so at least it’s not completely out-of-the-blue.

How can I fake being sick? What else can I do?

Sweetie, I’m pretty sure no one is going to help you with this one. That said, everyone needs a mental health day from time to time… have you given any consideration to just telling your parents the truth, that you just need a break?

@augustian – I’ve actually asked for mental health days before—usually it’s just when I don’t get all my homework done. I’m taking a bunch of AP classes this year, and it’s exhausting. Especially when I have a job that eats away my weekend. My mom just gets really pissy with me. I might just be honest with her and deal with her attitude if all else fails. I’m a really bad liar when it comes to faking sick anyways :P

Fake back pain, when it’s time for you to wake up pretend it hurts a whole lot then try to convince your parents that you don’t think you can sit for +6 hours.

If you’re eligible, say you have bad cramps and a heavy flow. Your mom might understand.

I have used these before but there was a bit of truth in my story.
What @augustlan said is a better answer though.

augustlan*, sorry!

@Tink—Back pain is actually a good idea, but I don’t think that would be enough for her to even consider letting me stay home. Thanks, though!

Just ditch.

If your desire to skip school is about any fear of failure, you are better to face the fear and do it anyway. You are not well served by avoiding such things. Just do it!

Do your homework in the library during lunch?

I never did much homework in high school. I was pretty upfront with my teacher’s about it. “I’m sorry, I thought I’d be better off getting a full night’s sleep so I could concentrate in school today rather than finishing the assignment.” They appreciate honesty.

Any shmuck can participate in activities they want to participate in. But true character is built and known in those who participate in activities they don’t necessarily want to participate in, but know they should, for the betterment of themselves, their circle of friends, their future, and those who will one day depend upon their future.

There is more at stake here than your “mood” of the moment.

Hm. When I was in high school I had tons of AP classes, pissy parents, and an after school job, and I missed homework all the time. I usually just told my teachers that I “forgot” to do the homework, or asked for an extension. Sometimes the teachers had open study periods at lunch where you could finish up homework. For some reason teachers are always more understanding than parents. My parents made me go to school with the flu because they didn’t think I was “really” sick.

Splitting headache. Squint the eyes and say any light hurts. Retreat to a dark place and moan. lol

Go to school!!!!!! Like Haleth said if you use “I’m sick” to often it WILL get to the point to where when YOU REALLY are sick, it’ll be tough snot. Remember the little boy who cried wolf?
Besides, one day of missing school just leads to more homework. Plus, as an adult, you don’t get to just miss work. This is just a reality of life. Right now, I can’t call in sick on Christmas. And I’m definitely not in the mood.
But school is just a stepping stone for life. One of the first of many steps to take. Don’t miss out on life by calling in sick.

Really intense back pain with cramps and extreme nausea, almost like you have food poisoning will work.
