After starting an Orencia treatment how long does it take to notice improvement with your arthritis?

I had my first treatment today and was just wondering when the pain should start subsiding?

Here is some information from one forum:

“Don’t give up. A few things…did you do the 3 initial ‘load’ doses (day 1, day 15, day 29), then begin the monthly infusions? That’s really important.

Orencia can be somewhat slower to ramp up and you may not even notice it’s started to work on some of your symptoms; e.g. pain is your worst so that’s what you’re focusing on and may not feel relief, but your fatigue is getting better or swelling is going down, etc.

Hang in there…it’s probably just too soon to tell and while it may not work for everyone, for the people it does, it really makes a huge difference. Try to stay with it at least 3 months and see how you’re doing then. ”
