Spanning all genres, can you please give me your personal taste in the minimalistic music?

…and I’m not talking reputed in history or what the media says, though if it overlaps, over course it’s cool so long as it’s personal.

I am looking for layered, simple, minimal music…I’m into electronia and classical for minimalism, but I’m looking to branch out…

I like Native American Flute. John Two Hawks has some good stuff.

There is a group called Sonos. There is a bunch of their stuff I don’t like, but they do a cover of a song entitled “Re: Stacks” that is amazing. I already looked for it on you tube without luck but there is a sample here so you can see if you might like it.

You should look into the original if you haven’t yet. Bon Iver is fantastic.

@absalom I like the Bon Iver original as well—I listen to both versions pretty regularly. I have the IPod from hell with as many as four versions of a single song if I like it well enough (and it has been covered often enough).

Mr. Bungie is a very interesting band to listen to. I can’t even determine there genre and I study music for a living.
