What is a good site or ideas for crafting recycled items... or stuff I may already have around the house?

I’m looking for new ways to create home decor or wall art (any ideas are welcome) using things I already have or might have just thrown out…any suggestions?

Check out Etsy.com for ideas! and just google “DIY home projects” or check HDTV.com!

Or you could just post certain things that you have here and see what other Jellies would suggest! They can be quite the creative bunch.

I highly recommend www.craftster.org as well. There are limitless ideas about upcycling and repurposing things there! Good luck!

Mason jars are useful for lots of stuff. You can bundle old christmas lights inside of a clear mason jar for a cool lamp. Old board game pieces are great for collage or holiday cards. If you have an incomplete scrabble set you can use the old tiles for jewelry, greeting cards, or other gifts. Save corks from wine bottles to create your own cork board/ bulletin board. Old kitchen gadgets can make for cool planters (succulent or cactus plants in an old metal tin strainer can have a shabby-chic look. You can cut out interesting photos from magazines, mount on cardboard squares, and use small clothespins to hang from a line on the wall, for an unusual wall decoration.
