Every fender its a GREAT guitar, Fender, NOT squier, you will hear LOTS and LOTS of people saying you that “mexican fender sucks, japanese are bad, only if its american”, but thats a lie, mexican fenders are great and cheaper, they have same materials but not the same quality making them, i don’t know too much of japanese but i also had one and sounds great, (there are old japanese models made awful anyway). but well, your question was about jaguar , as any fender its a lot versatile, you may hear lots of comments saying it only plays blues , contry and soft stuff, but thats a BIG lie, with a good pedal and your fingers you can play anything in any guitar, the switch combination of the guitar can make you do any magic you imagine, since an old acoustic chord sound to an acid guitar one, its a very very great guitar, if you have the opportunity of having it don’t pass it away.

Only if its a Fender guitar, made in America, back during the early 60s. they are worth a small fortune now.

I play (and LOVE) my strat. But the only way you’re gonna know is to get your hands on one. Find the nearest Guitar Center and put one thru it’s paces.

This is a question of preference. My preference? Fenders are only good for keeping my fire place warm.
