Where is the best place to buy Jeep parts and accessories for decent prices?

Asked by TexasDude (25274points) December 20th, 2010

So I bought a sexy 2006 Jeep Liberty today and I’m already in love. I want to outfit it with the gear it needs to turn from an already tough trail vehicle into a lean, forest green, boulder-climbing machine. Specifically, I’m looking for things like brush guards, light bars, lift kits, and such.

I’ve found literally dozens of sites that sell Jeep accessories and they seem to vary rather wildly in shipping costs and deals, etc.

That’s where you come in, my darling Flutherites. Do any of you Jeep owners (or anyone else who happens to know) out there know what the best place to buy Jeep accessories is, in terms of prices/value, shipping costs, and selection? Links are greatly appreciated.

For parts, I really like Rock Auto They ship very quickly and the prices are great.

I used to always shop on Quadratec

A liberty is sooooo not an off road jeep….

@Blueroses, awesome, I hadn’t seen that site before. Thank you.

@uberbatman, thanks, I’ve heard good things about Quadratec.

and there are tons of Liberty owners on forums I’ve read who beg to differ… and I couldn’t afford a Rubicon. That will have to be my mid-life crisis.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard fair enough, just talking back from my personal experiences. It was always Cherokees and Wranglers out on the trails.

@uberbatman, I do love the Wrangler. The times they are a’changing, though. Check this out. That’s pretty much what I’m planning on making mine into at one point. Here is mine now.

Nice jeep. The one thats not yours needs a bigger lift IMO.

@uberbatman, yeah, I agree. Mine is trail-rated, so it has the armored drive shaft, coolant system, and such, but I do think I need a few more inches of ground clearance… that’s why I’m looking at lift kits too. A brush guard is my main thing, though, because the property I camp on has pretty overgrown trails that aren’t too rocky (still require a 4×4, though) but saplings and pretty thick brush is the biggest problem up there.

that and jeeps just look fucking bad ass when lifted :P
