Well love em of course, why on earth would you hate them?!

iamthemob's avatar

They kind of weird me out. I mean…if it ain’t broke…

MissAnthrope's avatar

Love them, for lots of reasons. You can choose your size, your shape, your function.. so many different things. It adds some variety and in the case of a relationship naturally sans penis, it adds a whole other dimension to sex.

I’m a bit of a connoiseur. I have several dildos and I can talk to you about the differences in material, glass vs. silicon vs. jelly and so on. :)

Smashley's avatar

Love ‘em. Why? Because I like toys and I like sex. Who wouldn’t want to build their arsenal?

augustlan's avatar

I’m all for them as long as they’re the icing on the cake, and not the cake itself. (I don’t mean they shouldn’t be used alone… just that they shouldn’t entirely replace intimate contact with a partner).

Blueroses's avatar

Speak for yourself, @augustlan :-)

Confirmed mecha-sexual here and couldn’t live without them.

SuperMouse's avatar

I enjoy them immensely and I think @augustlan called it, for the most part they need to enhance the activity, not be the activity. That being said, I do think that young women and men just learning about their own sexuality can benefit greatly from experimenting with one on their own.

iamthemob's avatar

PS – I’d like to add that as a concept I think sex toys are awesome for the reasons @SuperMouse states above. My reaction was my own as to how they factor into my experience.

OpryLeigh's avatar

They can be fun but, put it this way, my vibrator will never take the place of my man!

Facade's avatar

They should be more durable…

phoebusg's avatar

I think they’re great. Making people more sexual, and more independent – but also more fun with partners. It’s about time male sex toys became more popular too.

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

Well, I have a few of my own, so I guess that means I like them? :P

I’d like the vibrators a lot more if they come with a tongue.

AGN's avatar

I especially like the way my vibrator doesn’t fall asleep and snore in my ear afterward.

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

@AGN If I could give you 100 GA’s for that, I would!

ucme's avatar

I accidentally….on purpose sat on a GI Joe once, man what a rush!

iamthemob's avatar

@ucme – pssh. That’s what Richard Gere said. “Accidentally.” Excuses excuses.

stump's avatar

I am all for them.

ucme's avatar

@iamthemob I believe I addressed that point already!

iamthemob's avatar

@ucme – pssh. Like I’m supposed to pay attention. I think you added that on an edit. I didn’t say it before. If you claim that you had it in there from the beginning, you lie. If everyone saw it, everyone’s a liar but me. I’m super awesome! ;-)

Seaofclouds's avatar

I have no problem with them. We have quite a few and they definitely add to what we already have. They could never replace my husband, but they do add new experiences for us. ;-)

ucme's avatar

@iamthemob How ironic…

Scooby's avatar

I’m still collecting them! :-/
However they’re getting a little extreme, some of them but you have to cater for all needs I guess Lol.. ;-)

prolificus's avatar

I accidentally fell asleep while having alone time with my vibe inside.. That was a shake up!

downtide's avatar

I couldn’t manage without them.

Bluefreedom's avatar

I’m of the opinion that these might not be the types of toys that Santa regularly delivers. This is the 21st century though and being as progressive as things are, you just never know.

Blueroses's avatar

@Bluefreedom my Santa knows exactly what makes me naughty and nice

Bluefreedom's avatar

@Blueroses. I’ll bet he does! Happy Holidays!

JustJessica's avatar

Love them of course! One can never have too many sex toys!

perspicacious's avatar

They’re groovy.

jerv's avatar

Neutral.

I can see how some people might like them, but i personally am not a fan and prefer to do things without props. That is a matter of personal preference though, and if you need a 240 volt fire hydrant with Hentai tentacles to get your rocks off then I won’t judge you.

Smashley's avatar

@jerv: Wait… a 240 volt what? and more importantly where?

jerv's avatar

@Smashley I leave the “where” to personal preference. As I said, I won’t judge… as long as long it’s by consent of all adult parties involved. I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere , and I think that we can all agree that rape, pedophilia, and bestiality are wrong. Beyond that though, I am rather liberal.

klutzaroo's avatar

Love them when the “real thing” isn’t available for whatever reason.

Vincent_Lloyd's avatar

Don’t need any to say I hate them…So….presses like button on sex toys I say I like them! I bet they would work better than a plastic drumstick…...Oh….Ideas, ideas….

Simone_De_Beauvoir's avatar

More people need ‘em.!

Unbroken's avatar

I think they are appropriate at times. But sometimes they are unnecessary or get in the way. I admit I have my favorites as well as a wish list, that I can’t quite justify as of yet and I used to depend on them a lot, but sometimes the best performance is you and the audience. Or you and the participant and or both. It can be more intense, more personal and creates and intimacy that has the potential to know no bounds… That is sufficiently rare, so toys are always a good back up.

On a related note, I was wondering which toys you throw away after changing partners, does it depend on the toy, relationship, or partner. Is there a set of guidelines? Why do men never find it offensive or never ask when we got the toys and how many people we have used them on, but women do?

phoebusg's avatar

Love them, because they increase the independence of individuals by taking care of ‘sex as a biological need’. Allowing them to be more relaxed, and more likely to interact with other people with a deeper connection, and figuring out love-making.
