{URGENT} Why is Corel DVD MovieMaker saying that the project is bigger than the dvd?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) December 23rd, 2010

It’s only 700 megs on my computer and this is a 4.7 gigabyte dvd! Why is it saying the project is over 6 gigs? I wanted to put 2–3 movies on it. What is going on?

I may be totally wrong
make sure previous projects aren’t included..6 gigs is alot
I find changing the quality/format of the movie makes it alot bigger/smaller
also if there is a menu or any other additions…

It was just one movie, 640×272, only 700 megs. I resorted to burning that only and it has to take almost 2 hours to “Fit it to the DVD” whatever the hell that is. I dont know what the hell is wrong with it, even without the menu and shit its taking the full dvd.

note: I’m half asleep
what format of the movie before you add it? ...I seem to remember converting my movies before burning them…
and just before you publish it..check what quality it’s going to use…ie: average or DVD or something

It’s probably changing it to a DVD format, and the quality setting may be too high. Have you checked settings or options?

Yeah. Windows DVD maker is working fine, idk why.

It’s most likely a formatting issue. If this is the case, then you will have to do a lot of editing and removing footage. :/
