What gifts are going back to the store today?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) December 26th, 2010

Now that it is Boxing Day (the UK and Canada) it is reported 100s of 1,000s of Americans will be clogging the stores taking back items they did not like, the wrong size or color, or was broken or defective. Are you or were you one of those people who had the misfortune of getting something you now have to return?

I’m not returning any of my gifts. Though, I am returning a pair of boots I purchased a few days ago. I found a better pair at another store.

Awww… sending back that good looking woman under my tree. She is 36–26-36, but I can do better!

Worst day at the stores the 26th, and this year it is on a Sunday! A day most people don’t work. Sunday may have lower retail sales than Black Friday, but that is a net number. The number of transactions and people in the store is huge. Today will be people getting after xmas bargains and returning so retail sales does not reflect how much business actually transpired on that day. If you don’t care about getting 50% off xmas lights, I would stay clear.

I can tell you what gift is NOT going back to the store, ever! it’s the diamond and gold tennis bracelet that Santa left for my wife. she was excited and thrilled beyond belief. she has not stopped showing it off to all her friends.

I think Santa made a good choice for a good lady.

She is loved.

Today? None. I don’t need to return anything so badly that it can’t wait a couple days.

Nothing is going back. I do most of my shopping online and pretty much after I’ve checked out the items in person at a store or if I know for sure the gift will fit or be liked. I try to pay attention all year long to what people make a fuss over and/or point out to me then I work on getting those things for birthdays, holidays or whatever.
