How do you reset your internal clock when it's whopperjawed?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37334points) January 2nd, 2011

All day on 1–1-11, I thought it was Sunday. It felt like Sunday. I kept calling it Sunday.

I know this happens to everybody at different times, so how do you deal with it? Do you put up sticky notes? Do you tie a string around your finger?

Everyone I’ve talked to thought it was Sunday. Strange.

Nope, I just carry on thinking it’s Sunday till the next day dawns.

Why does it matter? So you will have two Sundays. If you work M-F you will get fixed up fast anyway. If you missed work because you thought it was Sunday, and you were supposed to work on Saturday; well, that would be a problem.

I felt that way, too! Having it not be Sunday yesterday was awesome! It was as if time stood still for a day. I may actually start the week with everything completed, and then some. I took the tree down last night, just to have something to do.

Wow, no comments about “whopperjawed”? I just wanted to stop by and say that that’s the best word I’ve seen in quite a while.

I get messed up about what day it is all the time. I don’t even try to fix it – it fixes itself eventually.

Wow! Whopperjawed? That is a new one. Sounds like a head-rush!! How do I get one? Does it hurt? Give one to Lucille first I will watch her deal with it from a safe distance.

@Cruiser : I believe that watching Lucille from a safe distance requires the use of a computer and modem, but I’ll give her a whopperjaw just to see her spin.

@Seelix : Thank you. :)

Yea, I actually clicked on this questions just to see if the term whopperjawed was described further.

@incendiary_dan : whopperjaw v. to tilt the internal boomerang in one’s brain
