What is a good strategy for me to enjoy and even pass accounting?

Some of you might know that when I grow older and become more responsible I wish to become a business woman… not really sure what kind because first I thought there was only one type of business in the world and that is owning a store and running your own store or company. I am pretty much inspired by my mother who is majoring in her business courses and so I was thinking of taking the same path as her. And also my dad’s boss is a woman who runs her own company and she’s the boss… so that’s kind of something I would really like to do in the future.
I am currently taking a break from the International Baccalaureate and I will apply for it again next semester. Now I am in a regular high school where I in the business and economics course and am doing math, icelandic, english, life skills, sports, and accounting itself. Today was our first class of accounts and I haven’t bought the material yet because I don’t want to spend my money if I will quit the class after a week or so and that just means that I just wasted my money buying the materials that I need. Though it seems hard and I have also been reading about it online and it seems quit difficult so now am on 0… meaning I can’t decide what I REALLY want to do.

What are your suggestions and do you think I should quit?
also I don’t like being in class and feeling stupid. But the teacher said there was a lot of individual work so am happy with that because I sometimes have difficulties working in groups with people that I don’t even know…
